Parents, join us on Sunday, September 20 at 12:00P in the Oasis Venue for lunch and an opportunity to connect with our Student Ministry pastors, Stephen and Jordan. Come hear their hearts, vision, and hopes for the year ahead, learn more about what's happening in Student Ministry, and get to know the pastors who will be investing in your students. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, build relationships, and hear more about how we're excited to see God work in the lives of our students this year. This is an adult-only event - students do not need to attend. Please register so we can plan for lunch!
Fall Kickoff is here. JH and HS students, join us Friday, September 11 from 6–9P at First Christian Church to start the school year together — burgers and hot dogs, sand volleyball, games, and campfire worship. Every student who comes gets a free Student Ministry T-shirt. We're behind Oasis; park in the Curtis Road lot. Bring your friends and we'll see you there.
Get ready for a splash of a good time and join us for a FREE pool party at the Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center! Everyone is invited. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors. Even if you don’t swim, come and just hang out with all the other non-swimmers.
FREE — REGISTRATION REQUIRED
When: July 31 from 7:30–9:30P
Where: Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center | 1401 N. Broadway Urbana, IL
*Crystal Lake Park Policies
Only Coast guard approved life jackets are allowed in the facility. No inflatable toys allowed. We do offer life jackets as well! If a child is in a life jacket, they must have a parent/guardian within arm’s reach at all times. They are also not permitted to ride any of the slides with the life jacket on.
You must be 48 inches tall to ride the big slides.
We ask that food/beverage are kept in the party area or the grassy areas and not on the pool deck.
High school seniors will join Pastor Jordan on the main stage in the Auditorium during the 9:00A & 10:30A services as we take time to honor and pray over our high school seniors, celebrating their graduation and the new season ahead.
Join us for a special Student Ministry Worship Night on May 22 at 7:00P in the Chapel Venue. Doors open at 6:30P, so come early to hang out and connect with others before we begin.
This will be a meaningful evening for students to gather together in worship, spend time in prayer, and connect with one another. It's a great opportunity to meet new friends, grow in your faith, and encounter God through music and community.
After worship, stick around to hang out and enjoy pizza and time together with other students. We would love to see you there!
March 7, 2026 | 9:30A – 7:30P
First Christian Church Family Life Center
Grades 6-8
Join us for an all-day retreat designed to be both meaningful and fun! Students will spend the day growing in community, worshipping, learning, and having a blast together.
This year's theme is Exchange — exploring the idea that in every exchange, something must be given up in order for something to be gained. Throughout the day, we'll discover what it looks like to exchange fear, distraction, and selfishness for the life, joy, and purpose found in Jesus.
Cost is $30 per student with lunch and dinner included.
Don't miss this opportunity for your junior higher to connect, grow, and experience God in a fresh way!
As we continue to help students know and follow Jesus, we’re creating environments that are better designed for their age and stage of life.
Starting February 1, we’re moving to separate Junior High and High School worship services during the 10:30A service—so students can grow deeper in faith, community, and connection.
We’re also launching a brand new High School service in the Chapel with live worship, biblical teaching, and a strong focus on community.
Here’s what to know:
• This change is for 6th–12th graders only
• Junior High (6th–8th): 10:30A in the Oasis
• High School (9th–12th): 10:30A in the Chapel
• Junior High will no longer meet at 9:00A
We can’t wait to see our students at 10:30A starting February 1!

Baptism is how we go public with our faith. It shows others that you have been made new and represents your old sinful life being washed clean because of your faith in Jesus.

We all strive to give our children the best possible start in their educational journey, but what truly makes a difference? How can your child confidently live out and share their faith at school?
Join us as a panel of experienced Christian educators share practical insights that not only support your child's academic success but also empower them to make a lasting kingdom impact at school. This event is designed to equip you with the tools and encouragement needed to thrive in today's educational landscape.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to set your child up for success, both academically and spiritually!
We are so sad to have to cancel this year's pool party. With the outlook for unseasonably cold weather tomorrow (August 9) night, we have decided it's best not to have the party in the cold. We hope you have an amazing weekend, and we hope to see you Sunday morning! Blessings!
Raising kids takes more than just a village. It takes the Church. Join us for four weekly parenting seminars during the first service on Sundays, 9:00–10:00A. They begin with a time to connect with other parents and then focus on a different area each week, including how to handle technology, teaching our kids at their level, thriving in our other relationships, and spiritual rhythms.
