On August 30th, 2026, we shared with our congregation that our Lead Pastor, Eric Friedmann and his family, made the decision to accept a position at a new church at the end of November 2026. While we are saddened to see Eric leave, we are extremely grateful for his ten years of service to our church. The Holy Spirit has used his leadership, passion for Jesus, strong preaching, and deep care for people to usher in a vibrant season of God's blessing - one that we hope and expect to continue on into the next season for First. Additionally, it is the heart of Eric and the Elder Team for this transition season to be one filled with honor, celebration, and diligent prayer for both the Friedmann's and the First Family. Please use this page as a resource for insights, questions, and updates regarding this season. We are committed to regular updates (at least once every 2 weeks) to keep our church informed in the process."

40 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Starting August 31, 2026, we're inviting our whole First Family into 40 days of prayer and fasting as we seek God's will together for what's next in this season. Transition can stir up a lot of feelings — and we believe the best response is to draw near to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to lead us. Over these 40 days, we'll be praying specifically for wisdom for the Elder Team, for clarity on our Lead Pastor search, for unity across our church family, and for the Friedmann's as they begin this new chapter. We'll provide daily prayer prompts and scripture to guide you, whether you're fasting from food, media, or something else the Spirit brings to mind. If desired, you can join the Elders for prayer from 6-7P every Thursday in the Community Room. This is a season to lean in, not pull back — and we believe God has good things ahead for First as we seek Him together.
