From Goldilocks and the Three Bears to Hamlet and more, many of us can remember stories providing us a surplus of meaning throughout life. Even short stories have a unique ability to provide life-long insights that stick with us in just a few sentences. In fact, Jesus used a similar approach through many of his teachings—and we call them Parables. He would tell short, emotional, and relatable stories filled with spiritual meanings to discomfort and challenge the hearers. So open up and read along with us as we listen to a few of the short stories Jesus told and discuss what they mean for us today.
