Bible Buddies {Kids Ministry}

Bible Buddies: Wild About God's Word!

Adopt a Buddy. Read Together. Grow in Faith.

This program makes family discipleship simple, meaningful, and fun. By reading and discussing together for just 30 minutes each week, you create intentional moments for God to shape your child's heart, mind, and faith. These small conversations often become powerful opportunities for kids to learn how to think biblically, respond wisely, and grow in their relationship with Christ. Our hope is that this program encourages a love for reading, sparks faith-filled discussions, and helps families prioritize what matters most. As you invest this time with your child, you are building habits that can have an eternal impact (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

How to Join

  • Register online to adopt your Bible Buddy.

  • Pick up your buddy and reading log on Sunday.

  • Read from the Bible or a Storybook Bible together.

  • Record the number of minutes you read.

What Counts as Reading Minutes?

·       Parents can read out loud or take turns reading out loud with their kids.

·       Grandparents can read with grandkids in person or over FaceTime.

·       Elementary kids can practice reading out loud to their buddy or a younger sibling.

·       Older kids can snuggle up and read quietly. Encourage them to journal by writing down the main idea, something they need to be obedient to God about, and recording what they read.

·       If you discuss what you read with your parent or grandparent, that counts toward your Bible Buddy minutes. NOTE: You can only count minutes spent actually reading (not discussing) for school reading logs.

Celebrate Your Progress

  • Each completed log will be traded for 10 tickets to spend in the Quarterly Ticket Store.

  • Turn in completed reading sheets in at the New Here Check In Station.

Every reading adventure helps you grow closer to God!

As a parent, I commit to partnering with the church to help my child grow in faith and knowledge. I will encourage regular Bible or Bible storybook reading, engage in conversations about what they read, build their vocabulary and understanding, and help them apply biblical truths and life lessons to everyday life. Through encouragement and discipleship, I will support my child's spiritual growth.
