Who we are:
Here’s the deal, First Christian Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. FIRST is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus and simply want as many people as possible to experience that same freedom. Where we came from:
First Christian Church started in 1953 as a group of 76 people who desired to start a New Testament community. We broke ground at our first location on John Street in 1956 and after extensive growth and faithful ministry led to relocation and expansion at the corner of Curtis and Staley Roads in 2003. Since then, we have been able to bless our community with a family playground, meet new neighbors developing around us, and most importantly, seen over 1,000 people surrender to Jesus in baptism.
Where we're Headed:
In January 2021, we launched our vision of seeing 5000 next steps of discipleship over five years; 2021-2025. As of March 2024, we are thrilled to have surpassed the goal with 5585 next steps taken, currently! We are excited about where God will take our church as we continue to live out our mission of helping each other follow Jesus. Learn more about our Core Values and next steps.
