Community & WorldTherefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I a.m. with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

An excerpt from a letter from Don Orr, Minister of Missions: “In the first century, there arose a financial need in the church in Jerusalem. The message of that need reached all the way to churches in Asia. In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul commends the churches in Macedonia for their generosity in an interesting way. The Christians in Macedonia gave financially out of their own poverty and Paul commends them for it. ... Paul goes on to say they also 'gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us.' The giving of money for a need was secondary to the dedicating themselves to the Lord and to the work.”
