LeadershipFirst Christian Church subscribes to the Biblical model of church leadership as it is laid out in Scripture (see 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9). The Leadership Team is comprised of the Board of Elders and the ministerial staff. The Elders are responsible for casting the spiritual vision for First Christian Church, as well as shepherding the congregation and providing spiritual encouragement or discipline as necessary. The staff works to carry out the FCC vision by implementing and overseeing the appropriate ministries to do so. EldersThe FCC Elders are nominated and affirmed by the FCC membership on an annual basis. The Elders currently serve a one-year term, at which time they may be re-nominated or choose to step down from the Board. All candidates for Elder must display the Biblical characteristics of an elder as laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. Each year, all candidates undergo a thorough review by the Elders before being presented to the congregation for affirmation. The number of Elders varies from year-to-year -- there is not a set number of elders.
